Instalec Technology Group has acquired the Cisco Division of the Resource Telecom Group business which brings with it an existing customer base and very strong pipeline.
An integral part of the acquisition is the transfer to Instalec of Chris Thomas as Business Development Manager who was solely responsible for building the Resource Cisco business from the ground up to where it is today.
Chris will be based from the Glasgow office and making regular visits to Instalec HQ in Aberdeen. Coming from a strong Cisco background Chris will be naturally specialising in the Cisco portfolio but will also be supporting the growth across all of the Instalec businesses. Chris started his Cisco journey working specifically on the collaboration portfolio specialising in Cisco WebEx & WebEx Connect with a WebEx Conferencing Partner. At end of 2010 Cisco Scotland approached Resource Telecom to become a Cisco Partner and recommended Chris as a suitable candidate to run the Cisco business . He later joined Resource as Cisco Sales Director in February 2011 and in the first year of trading his efforts were awarded “Cisco Small Business Partner of the Year 2011” at the annual Cisco Partners Conference.
“I am looking forward to a new challenge and continuing the strong growth in the Cisco business I have achieved whilst at Resource. Instalec have developed a great reputation with Cisco over the years and I am looking forward to further reinforcing this relationship and promoting the wider Instalec brand offerings out with the North East of Scotland.”
After an exceptional year with Cisco last year, this new growth brings a further boost to the Instalec networking and Cisco capability across the North East and Central Belt.
